Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon 3D Dr. Crane Vineyard explodes from the glass with vibrant scents of ripe blueberries, warm cassis and blackberry tart with suggestions of dark chocolate, cinnamon stick, cloves, cedar chest and violets with a fragrant waft of star anise. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is filled with juicy, energetic black berry layers plus tons of spicy accents and a firm, finely grained frame of super-ripe tannins, finishing long and mineral laced. This full-throttle, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon barrel selection cuvee is so charged with purity, exuberance and freshness, every sip will leave you wanting more![/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Three D 96+ pts” tab_id=”1585849656430-1f887182-e64b”][vc_column_text]Wine Advocate

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon 3D Dr. Crane opens with licorice, violets and tilled soil over nuances of mossy bark, cassis, and warm plums. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has firm, grainy tannins and is elegant and polished, finishing long and layered.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Three D 94+ pts” tab_id=”1571848292585-7c0cb94c-dd46″][vc_column_text]RobertParker.com #234

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon 3D Dr. Crane Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) sports a deep garnet-purple color and fragrant nose of violets and potpourri over a core of crème de cassis, blueberry compote and chocolate box with a waft of Chinese five spice. Full-bodied and chock full of exotic spice and floral notions, it has a firm, grainy backbone and a long, perfumed finish.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Three D 94 pts” tab_id=”1571848292771-3032c0c6-b388″][vc_column_text]Wine Advocate #228

Dec 2016 Robert M. Parker, Jr. 94 points

A distinctive and singular style of wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Three D Dr. Crane is a relatively small cuvée of only 345 cases. Dense purple in color, with notes of charcoal, truffle, graphite, blackberry and cassis as well as outstanding purity, texture and length, this wine is still youthful but promising, and certainly seems to have at least a 15- or 20-year upside to it. This is a beauty.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Three D 94pts” tab_id=”1571848292835-3cab3bf7-ae78″][vc_column_text]eRobertParker.com #222

Drink: 2015 – 2030

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 3D from the Dr. Crane Vineyard is a beauty. Notes of wet pebbles, crème de cassis, blackberry and earth jump from the glass of this cuvée that represents 350 cases. The wine is rich, full, complete, with beautiful sweet fruit, ripe tannin and a multi-layered mouthfeel. This is terrific wine to drink over the next 15 or more years.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Three D 97 pts” tab_id=”1571848292965-4020fd23-dd36″][vc_column_text]Wine Advocate #209

Drink: 2013 – 2043

The more expensive 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon 3D (which stands for 3 blocks, 3 lots, 3 barrels, 3 daughters) is even better than the basic cuvee, but of course, there is virtually none of it. It possesses a black/purple color as well as a gorgeous perfume of black currants, blackberries, camphor, incense and hints of background wood and forest floor. Full-bodied, rich, pure and multidimensional, it is a killer Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 25-30 years. Kudos to the Salvestrin family!

Salvestrin can boast multiple generations farming its vineyards since 1932, so this is by no means a newcomer to the Napa Valley wine scene. These wines never seem to get old, and this will be one our grandchildren can enjoy circa 2050.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Three D 94 Pts” tab_id=”1585849342100-f13b4e8d-cc6b”][vc_column_text]

Deep garnet in color, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon 3D Dr. Crane Vineyard strides confidently out of the glass with serious scents of underbrush, pencil lead, cedar chest and tapenade over a core of baked blackcurrants, blackberry preserves and spice cake with hints of balsamic and rose hip tea. Full-bodied, the palate is laden with savory-laced black fruits, supported by firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a lingering mineral note.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Three D 92 pts” tab_id=”1571848293036-7e34198e-93d8″][vc_column_text]Wine Advocate #192

Dec 2010 Robert M. Parker, Jr. 92 points

The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon 3D is a slightly down-sized version of the 2007. It is a big wine, rich, full-bodied, with a similar opaque purple color, loads of fruit, graphite, and licorice, and plenty of potential. It is a little less flamboyant than the 2007 but will probably age just as well and just as long (20-25 years).[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Three D 94 pts” tab_id=”1571848293105-f0f12db6-4280″][vc_column_text]Wine Advocate #192

Drink: 2030+

The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon 3D is a limited production, inky purple wine that offers big, chocolate notes intermixed with licorice, blackberry, black currants, and spice. The wine is rich and full-bodied, with outstanding concentration, texture, and length. The tannins are there, but are concealed by a cascade of black fruit. This serious wine will benefit from several years of cellaring and drink well for 20 or more years.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1571848179172{margin-top: 100px !important;margin-bottom: 100px !important;padding-top: 75px !important;padding-bottom: 75px !important;padding-left: 75px !important;}” simple_background_color=”#e5e1d1″][vc_column][vc_column_text]
